Enjoy my secret hideaway on the Kohala Coast! I was looking for the perfect retreat to recuperate from 7 months on crutches and 4 months in a foot cast, when I found this charming guest apartment in upper Kohala Estates. I wanted to call it the mermaid's house because, for weeks, I could only swim and not walk. Mermaids don't have feet either!

The silence, the stars, the incredible view of the coastline and ocean is just what I had in mind. I am only 5 minutes to the Kawaihae boat ramp where I launch my kayak each morning and paddle to Maumae beach for a swim. I often see the dolphins!

There are flowers and palm trees all around. The apartment is bright and cheery with vaulted ceilings and island style decor. The deck is filled with orchids and a table for four. The serenity and trade wind breezes will refresh your soul just as it has mine.

A short drive takes you to some of the best beaches on the island. There is also, great restaurants, hotels and entertainment close by. The whales are seen close to shore here and whale watching cruises are available in the winter season.

The guest apartment has two bedrooms and one bath and a kitchen. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a full size bed. In the living room the couch can be turned into two single beds. The living room has a TV, DVD and VCR. There is a B.B. Q. just outside. Lots of privacy and charm make this place a great get-a-away!

$99.00 per night, plus tax and cleaning fee with a 5 night minimum stay for 2 persons. There is a $15.00 fee for each additional person, with a maximum of 4. Visa/MasterCard and American Express accepted.
